Sacramento (24-23) @ Toronto (35-13)
TOR -9.5; Pick: Toronto
Portland (29-19) @ Oklahoma City (28-18)
OKC -5; Pick: Oklahoma City
Los Angeles (C) (25-21) @ Dallas (20-26)
DAL -4; Pick: Los Angeles
Minnesota (22-24) @ Phoenix (11-37)
MIN -4.5; Pick: Phoenix
January 17 Record: 3-2
Overall Record: 61-42-1
Kyle Lowry ($8300) vs. SAC - Though Lowry has struggled in the scoring department this season, he has been extremely efficient with Kawhi Leonard in the lineup. With Sacramento on the back end of a back-to-back, I expect Lowry to win the matchup with De'Aaron Fox in this one.
Derrick Rose ($6600) @ PHO - Rose dominated the matchup on Sunday dropping 31, including the game-winner. With another matchup against Phoenix, I expect similar stats from Rose, continuing his resurgent campaign.
Jalen Brunson ($3700) vs. LAC - Brunson drew the start yesterday against Milwaukee and posted 16 points and 5 assists. With the Clippers starting 3 guards in the absence of Danilo Gallinari, I expect Brunson to roll out with the starters again for Dallas and post another solid line in the starting five.
Luka Doncic ($8900) vs. LAC - Doncic should put together another solid game following his first triple-double yesterday with the Clippers coming to town. He should benefit significantly from the Clippers starting three guards, and I expect him to build on his incredible season averages.
Devin Booker ($7900) vs. MIN - Booker has struggled from the field since returning from injury, shooting a tick under 27% from three. In the matchup on Sunday, he took only 15 shots even with DeAndre Ayton sitting. However, I expect Booker to be more involved tonight with Ayton expected to sit again.
Dennis Schroder ($6200) vs. POR - Schroder has been causing problems off the bench for opponents all season, and it has continued over his last two games. He has averaged 19 points in those games, shooting 13-for-30 from the floor and 7-for-12 from three. If he sees plenty of minutes with Russell Westbrook tonight, I expect him to post another solid performance in this one.
Kawhi Leonard ($10300) vs. SAC - Kawhi has not appeared in a game since last Wednesday at Boston. Resting in Toronto's last two games, I expect Leonard to return with a huge performance against a poor Kings road defense. With news being released that he may be rested again, this is something to keep posted on. With his start time being at 7, you should still have time to adjust your lineup accordingly. LEONARD IS OUT TONIGHT; EXPECTED BACK TOMORROW.
Kelly Oubre ($6100) vs. MIN - Oubre has clearly taken well to his trade to Phoenix making the most of his minutes. Since being traded to Phoenix, his usage rate has increased from 21.1% to 23.7%. He has also increased his True Shooting Percentage to 57%. With a weak Minnesota defense coming to Phoenix tonight, I expect Oubre to continue to build on these numbers.
Mikal Bridges ($4000) vs. MIN - Bridges continues to see plenty of minutes in the Suns' Starting Five without Trevor Ariza. Though he is never too heavily involved in the offense, he is always a candidate to see multiple steals and could see an uptick in involvement tonight with the absence of big man, DeAndre Ayton looking likely.
Tobias Harris ($8100) @ DAL - Harris is coming off arguably his best performance of the season, posting a 27-9-9 slash line in a win over San Antonio on the road. With the Texas road swing continuing tonight, I expect another big performance from Harris tonight.
Taj Gibson ($5300) @ PHO - Gibson had quite a performance on Sunday against these same Suns, considering his typical involvement in the offense. Though he may be a risky play with Dario Saric on his tail at all times for minutes, I expect another nice line from Gibson with the lack of a presence inside for Phoenix.
Harry Giles ($3700) @ TOR - Giles could be a solid value play tonight with Sacramento on a back-to-back. Nemanja Bjelica's status is very much in question right now as he played the first five minutes yesterday and did not return. Regardless, I expect Giles to see an uptick in both minutes and production because of the back-to-back.
Karl-Anthony Towns ($10600) @ PHO - KAT put up big numbers on Sunday in the absence of DeAndre Ayton, and he should eat up rebounds again tonight with Ayton doubtful again. He should be in line for big things tonight.
Willie Cauley-Stein ($7900) @ TOR - Cauley-Stein has been very up-and-down this season and it appears that it directly corresponds with the level of competition he faces. With the Raptors still without a true big man, having to start Serge Ibaka at the five, I expect Cauley-Stein to post a solid game after playing only 27 minutes yesterday against Brooklyn.
DeAndre Jordan ($7000) vs. LAC - Jordan should enjoy another solid performance on the glass. With the Clippers playing a combination of Marcin Gortat and Montrezl Harrell at the five, he should be in for another double-double so long as he avoids foul trouble.
Pat Beverley ($4700) - Starting with Danilo Gallinari Out
Fred VanVleet ($4800) - Likely to Start if Kawhi Leonard (rest) Sits
Danny Green ($5000) - Sacramento Road Defense is Weak (117.13 PPG Allowed)
Dragan Bender ($3800) - Big Minutes if Both Ayton and Holmes are Out (29 Min Sunday)
